Sound Quality and Psychoacoustics

This area is centred in the evaluation of sound quality, preferably applied to the improvement of the environmental noise produced by any source: motors, electrical appliances and machines in general. Sound psychoacoustic characteristic are considered (loudness, sharpness, roughness and so on), just as other type of spectral and temporal characteristics not dismissing a priori any type of signal processing tool. Its aim is to diminish the annoying sensation caused, if possible acting directly on the source or using control active noised techniques
